The Surly Krampus was the bike that brought 29+ to life, and this frameset is still one of the most playful, capable, and versatile platforms in the Surly lineup. With wide tire clearance, modern mountain compatibility, and a steel frame built to take years of abuse, the Krampus is ready for big days on rough trails, loaded adventures, or rowdy after-work laps.

Its 44mm headtube, Gnot-Boost rear spacing, and thru-axles mean it plays nicely with most modern mountain bike standards (just no rim brakes). The suspension-corrected fork offers options for running a 29+ rigid setup or swapping to a suspension fork if you want more bounce. Add in 29 × 3.0" tire clearance and you’ve got a monster-truck trail bike that still feels lively and fun.
